Rachel Coulthard

Rachel deals with a wide range of complex commercial and residential property matters including advising on landlord and tenant transactions, the acquisition and disposal of commercial and mixed use properties, from chic sheds to high street units. Rachel regularly assists clients with residential investment transactions especially where they involve development or site assembly.

Rachel also specialises in property finance matters, acting either for bespoke private lenders and often working to very tight timescales, or working closely with borrowers in the refinance of single properties or property portfolios.

Notable transactions:

Acting in a million pound sale and leaseback transaction with documents agreed within 3 days.

Acting for a bespoke lender on a multimillion pound refinance of a property portfolio comprising a mansion house, flats and student accommodation.

Acting in the acquisition of a former public house in London and, following development, disposing of new long leasehold commercial and residential units to corporate and individual purchasers.

Born and bred in the countryside of North Wales, I graduated from the University of Liverpool, where I studied law with philosophy, obtaining a first-class degree. After finally deciding law was for me, I completed the LPC MSc with law and business management at the University of Law, in Chester.

I have a keen interest in business, technology and meeting new people. I run a monthly networking group in Manchester and I am learning to code, using the programming language Python. I also enjoy going to the gym and keeping active, although I should probably do this more often!
